You Capture~ Feeling of Fall

This weeks challenge over at Beth's is :FALL

This was was another busy one for us... so Wednesday was the first time I actually had a few minutes to take out my Fall/Autumn decorations. As you can see, some are still in the boxes.

I love this door sign but it is slate and it gets rather windy here in "the valley" where we live so I hang it inside so it doesnt bang on the door all night long!
We love Orange around here in the Crazy house .....
I got this little door hanger at CVS pharmacy last year on sale after the season for ... get ready... $1.00. Yup, I am a bargain shoppa!
And of course we have to have the hay,pumpkins and scarecrow. The scarecrow actually will be replaced in a few weeks with a witch and a broomstick.
YEA for FALL!!

I ♥ Faces~ Candid

The Challenge over at I ♥ Faces this week is: Candid

I didnt take any awesome candid shots this week... most were football shots but none that I was truly proud to call " candid" so I am using this old but powerful photo I took of Kylie ( my daughter) and my aunt after the death of my cousin and her husband. There was so much grief between the two. A woman who lost her daughter and son in law, and a teenager who lost her "aunt" and godparents.

Wordless Wednesday~ Trev

This past weekend we went to my cousins house for a birthday party for my nephew Liam. It was a little strange because my aunt and uncle have moved the kids back into their home and the house in Princeton is on the market. We had the party there because frankly there is more land and the house is bigger than my aunts. It was still strange because no on is living there. The original furniture is still mostly there... we need to help her clean out the house soon, but it was just weird walking around the house that they used to live in. It never gets any easier.
The little dog (below) Riley has moved to the house with my aunt and the kids. The BIG dog Diesel ( Bull Mastiff) is living at the farm next door to the house in Princeton. It is just sad because these two doggies have been best friends for years and now they are separated. Just another tragedy of this loss. All in all, the kids all had blast at the party... and Trevor was snuggling with Riley while Steve was being followed around by Diesel.

You Capture~ New

This week over at Beth's... the Challenge is : capture something you never did before. Something new... something that I have never shot before? Well.. this week has been crazy busy with Football ( again) and school.. and work... and The Shred... so I did cheat a bit. Some of these shots are new and some are from a few weeks ago. Enjoy!!



Last week I was sitting at Trev's football scrimmage and looked up. I never shoot the sky.. really. Never! But what a gorgeous sight this was!!

And the sharks were cool... where else could one photograph a shark this close. p.s. we have had some Great White Sharks off the coast at the Cape.. thank goodness we arent planning to visit our summer house this weekend! Gah!!

Wordless Wednesday~ Jamboree

Sunday we had our first official football game of the season. We call it the Jamboree. We actually did pretty well after sucking during last weeks Scrimmage. Here are a few shots:

All in all.. it was a nice day. We then went to Wrights Chicken Farm for a delicious dinner afterwards with some football friends... then home to relax. Sundays waking up before 7 am should be illegal! Have a great rest of your week!!
